It has been three years since Activision launched Prototype 1 on a wide platform and it turned out to be one of the most sought-after games in its league. The game has been expertly developed by the same developers who made The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. So the expectations from this game were naturally high. But now, Activision is planning to launch the second installment of the game, Prototype 2, amidst a lot of hype that it will be much more gore than the first one.

The main protagonist of the game is James Heller who takes on the antagonist Alex Mercer. The story says that at the time of the outburst of the Blacklight virus, James Heller was a soldier deployed in the vicinity. Alex Mercer is the prime culprit behind this outbreak and in order to overthrow him, James rejoins the military. Towards the beginning of the game, James Heller is being cursed by Alex Mercer but rather than harming him, it showers him with strange powers which make him walk on walls and even fly.

The game is for those who like blood and gore. Activision has pioneered gaming industry especially due to their Call of Duty series which is considered as one of the highest grossing game series ever made.
