It seems that Sony has collaborated with Harry Potter famed author J. K. Rowling and both are now jointly developing a virtual spellbook. This feature will make the people gain access to loads of virtual storybooks without having to buy them from book stores. The platform where this feature will be launched is Playstation 3 and the name as has been suggested by Sony will be “Wonderbook”.
The first virtual book to come out for this device will be “The Book of Spells” that is being authored by J. K. Rowling. Sony has its exclusive eye and motion controller set-up feature which will support the “Wonderbook”. There is a lot that the readers will be offered and they will get a chance to become a part of the story that they are reading as there are many games as well as other activities in the book which involve the participation of the reader.
The theme of “The Book of Spells” is based in Hogwarts and basically trains the players to cast spells. Now as the player progresses towards higher levels, more spells are taught and then using the Move controller of Playstation, the player gets a chance to cast the spell.
Wonderbook will probably come into the market by the end of this year.
