After becoming a smash hit on mobile devices, widely acclaimed Angry Birds videogame is now preparing to conquer PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS game consoles.
Rovio’s Executive Vice President of Games, Petri Jarvilehto, has confirmed that a trilogy of Angry Birds is under development from the ground up for HDTV’s. Players would be able to explore the popular game’s workings via the PlayStation Move, StreetPass on the 3DS and Microsoft Kinect.
In a recent interview with the IGN, Jarvilehto said, “Angry Birds Trilogy is built from the ground up for HDTV’s and you can think of the game as the ultimate collector’s edition.”
Calling the Angry Birds Trilogy an ultimate collector’s edition, Jarvilehto revealed that the trilogy would be comprised of three games, viz. Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.
Jarvilehto also revealed that the trilogy would bring new cinematics, extra goodies and other amusing content. Apart from that, the developer has retreated all of the games’ existing material to make it apt for the high-resolution and big screen. Among the losg list of changes, lighting modes have been added, and the backgrounds have been animated.
Gamers will be able to play the trilogy via either a 3DS cartridge or a single disc.
